Tasting Notes: Bourbon, vanilla, and dark chocolate with oakey sweetness
The bourbon barrel in which this coffee was "steeped" for the last 6 months came courtesy of our loyal customers at the Franklin Lakes store, Michael and Sylvia. Michael tasted last year's barrel aged "Tahonta", and the very next day he arrived with an Old Fitzgerald barrel for this year's batch, which we have named 'Melina', for Michael and Sylvia's beautiful daughter!
Melina's distinct flavors will linger in your memory long after this bag is finished; bourbon and vanilla in the nose followed by chocolatey nuttiness with a long, oakey sweet finish.
Brew with any of your favorite brewing methods, drink straight or add a bit of cream and sugar for an Irish Coffee experience. Cheers!
